Well I think we can rule out The Skull and Bone Society because it's based at Yale and she was home schooled (or on the other hand they may have trying to keep her away) Is it ever mentioned where her parents went to school?

However "There are also reports that the society has ideals of racial purity and accumulation of power by any means" does seem to match pretty well

One of the things that I have found quite interesting about this is the 4 pairs of women holding the circle. They apear to be twins.

Does this mean that there could be 3 other sets of twins???

The creators definitely played up the astronomy and astrology references then dropped it. Not sure why. Maybe they didn't want to offend any extraterrestrial beings?
